TSP
“TSP” stands for Triple Superphosphate, which is a type of fertiliser commonly used in agriculture. It contains high concentrations of phosphorous, an essential nutrient for plant growth and development. Here are some benefits and characteristics of TSP fertilizers:
TSP fertilisers typically contain around 46% phosphorus (P₂O₅). Phosphorus is crucial for various plant processes, including photosynthesis, energy transfer, and root development. TSP fertilisers can promote strong root systems in plants. This is essential for nutrient uptake and overall plant health.
Adequate phosphorus levels encourage flowering and fruiting in plants. Using TSP fertilisers can help maximize the yield and quality of fruits and flowers. TSP fertilisers can be used in various soil types, including acidic soils, because phosphorus availability is less affected by soil pH compared to other nutrients like nitrogen.
TSP comes in two different forms:
- Granular TSP
- Powered TSP.
