DAP
Diammonium Phosphate, a type of fertiliser that’s highly valuable in agriculture. It’s composed of two constituents: phosphorus (P) and nitrogen (N), making it an excellent source of these essential nutrients for plant growth.
Phosphorus is crucial for root development, flowering, and fruiting, while nitrogen is essential for overall plant growth and vigour. DAP is particularly useful for crops that require high levels of phosphorus and nitrogen during their early growth stages, such as maize, wheat, barley, and rice.
Farmers often use DAP as a starter fertiliser at planting time to give crops a strong start, especially in regions where soil phosphorus levels are low. However, as excessive phosphorus application can lead to environmental issues such as water pollution through runoff.
